The Contribution of Women to the Ancient Mysteries
The presence of women, from the most ancient times, was the archetypal initiative in the creation of the Ancient Mysteries.
Women conceived, created, and performed the first Mystical rites for the study of Life through death.
In antiquity, women—Mystics (as well as men)—participated in the initiatory processes of the Ancient Mysteries, with the primary aim of their spiritual Advancement through Self-Knowledge and the pursuit-cultivation of those Values that lead to Ethical Perfection.

According to the "Constitutions" of James Anderson in 1723, which laid the foundations for Modern Freemasonry, it has been accepted as an axiom by Freemasons that only men can become members of Freemasonry and that the participation of women violates the "Ancient Landmarks."
This position is not substantiated by the historical evidence available so far, as mentioned earlier; it was simply based on the prejudices and negative views of English Freemasons regarding the spiritual capacities of women!dateWomen's Freemasonry, however... has been created!
Despite this negative stance, Women's Freemasonry made its appearance in the early 18th century, specifically around 1730.
