Lux Ab Ordine Magazine

Introduction

With modesty and deep awareness of the responsibility implied by this initiative, the Grand Lodge of Women of Greece presents the first issue of the Masonic Communication Form “Lux ab Ordine”, a new intellectual carrier of speech, study and internal search of our Fraternity.

The phrase Lux ab Ordine — Light from Order — simple in wording and deep in meaning, encapsulates the essence of Masonic philosophy and initiation.

It expresses the path from Chaos to Harmony, from Disorder to the inner and outer Order, that leads to the Light.

Light, as Knowledge, Truth and Spiritual Clarity, and Order, as Harmony, Balance, Regularity and Justice, are fundamental principles of Masonic thought.

Through the Light of Knowledge, Order is achieved in the World and in our soul; and through Order, which shapes inner Harmony, the Light emerges anew.

In the deep silence of the inner Temple of the soul, the phrase Lux ab Ordine echoes as a constant reminder of our spiritual path, of the responsibility to restore Order within us and in our environment, in order to make it possible to seek and diffuse the Light.

Humas, as a microcosm, are called upon to harmonize with the Order of the World, in order to participate in the creative Idea of the Great Architect of the Universe.

This publication was born out of the need to create a living space of study, dialogue and dissemination of Masonic Ideas, Philosophical Education and Ethical Reflection, which accompany Masonic Work.

It inaugurates a new institutional body of intellectual communication, offering a constant platform for expression and contribution to our common work.

“Lux ab Ordine” is not just a host for articles and the written word. Its pages reflect the echo of the Initiation, the silent work of the Consciousness, the shadow and the glow of the Symbols.

It is an intangible Temple, where the Mind, the Heart and the Spirit meet to work in harmony, building a space of human communication and spiritual companionship.

This magazine aspires to:

  • to highlight and disseminate the Female Masonic Discourse,
  • to function as a Temple of the Word, where the voice of the Sisters is expressed in Order, in Silence and in Reflection,
  • to promote the diffusion of Light as Knowledge and as an Attitude of Life,
  • to cultivate Virtue, Self-Knowledge and Inner Meditation,
  • to be an invisible chain of communication between the Lodges, enhancing the internal masonic cohesion,
  • to highlight the collective work, contribution and discreet philanthropic action of the Fraternity,
  • to stand as a point of guidance and remembrance of our common path towards the higher understanding of the Self and the World.

“Lux ab Ordine” wishes to become a beam of Light that will accompany our Fraternity as it walks between the known and the unspoken. A silent but lively Temple, where the Word rises as a hymn to the Truth, where Wisdom finds ground to take root and where each Sister offers her own sandblasted stone for the construction of our common Temple.

With Faith in the Values of Freemasonry, with Devotion to our Fraternity and with Gratitude for our common course, the first issue of “Lux ab Ordine” is delivered to the Masonic Fraternity, with the wish that the course from Darkness to Light, from Ignorance to Truth, remains uninterrupted, alive and creative through Work, Love and Fraternity.

With deepest honor and in the Grace of Light,

The Grand Master
